The stories here are written with the same sense of fun, but with the added bonus that they are “true” stories, and your child will learn something useful. Educational: Research has shown that the more times a child is taught something, the better he/she remembers and understands it. History-for-kids provides parents and teachers with an opportunity to start the little ones on history at a very young age, so that when they come across the same topics at school, they are familiar and easier to take in. History-for-kids is not just educational for the children, we also aim to educate the parents. Each story comes with a some small print that tells the reader a little of the real history behind the story. We think that in some cases, the truth will surprise a few people! Free: As a parent or teacher you may copy or print out any of the poems/stories and pictures, and read them to your little ones without having to ask permission. Please, however, do not use the poems for any commercial purpose (such as magazines, newspapers, or websites) without contacting us first.
